Course Description

This one-day seminar will examine the investigative considerations, victim condition and morphology, scene challenges, and case dynamics unique to fire incidents involving fatalities. Attendees will be provided with practical insight into scene and victim assessment, scene management, documentation, and investigative approaches associated with the complexities of fatal fire investigations.

About the Presenter

Ed Nordskog is a retired Certified Arson/Bomb Investigator from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He holds bachelor's degree in criminal justice and master's degree in emergency service management and has Investigated 2,100 arson cases leading to more than 300 arrests and prosecutions. He has Testified as an expert in over 100 fire/arson cases and has extensive experience in fatal fire & serial arson investigations.
